Operation Christmas Child
Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Since 1993, more than 61 million shoe boxes have been packed, shipped, and delivered across the globe. People of all ages can be involved in this simple, hands-on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ.
It is a part of Samaritan’s Purse, a nonprofit founded by Franklin Graham, son of Billy Graham.
How We’ve Partnered
We have supported this organization in a very small way the past four years by putting together shoe boxes to deliver to their cause. Over the past four years Ncompass has delivered 522 shoe boxes full of clothes, candy, school supplies, toys, and more to Operation Christmas Child. We hope to continue growing our support for this organization.
Operation Christmas Child 2010
Ncompass was able to pack boxes for Operation Christmas Child again in 2010, and it was great to see people willing to help put them together. People from Westside Christian High School came in to help fill 200 shoeboxes with the items listed above and in each box was a loving hand-written Christmas card filled with hope and joy. Thank you for everyone who helped pack the boxes and write the cards!
2006: 32 shoe boxes donated
2007: 40 shoe boxes donated
2008: 100 shoe boxes donated
2009: 150 shoe boxes donated
2010: 200 boxes donated
We are looking forward to participating in this event again this year. However, it may not be at the increasing level as it has been in the past. In 2011, Ncompass was asked to take over the Maranatha House Orphanage, in Titanyen Haiti. Many of our efforts are being realigned in that direction.
